We have come a long way in a short time, and have grown as a business and adapted our approach to meet the highly technical and exacting needs of our customers who are specialists in their own industries.
Strata Technology was formed in 1998, with its founding directors, shareholders and employees coming from BP’s Technical Services Division. Since its foundation, Strata has widened both its customer base and its skills but has retained BP as one of its key customers.
Strata has diversified from its early days in oil and gas-centric industries into nuclear and, more recently, the new green technologies around carbon reduction and net zero. It has also collaborated with North American manufacturers to provide sales and servicing for’s Quizix pumps and systems, Komax mixers and heaters, and Chemtech’s short path and rolled film distillation systems. This has resulted in a business that is resilient to any volatility in market trends.
Strata employs a multi-disciplinary team ranging from mechanical, electrical, process, chemical engineers and operations. The business continues to provide turnkey solutions to industry and academia for the supply of bespoke laboratory-scale equipment, skid mounted rigs and pilot plants being used for research and development, process scale-up or production purposes from its site in Sunbury-on-Thames.
As well as the UK, Strata has worked with customers in the United States, Latin America, Continental Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Australasia.
