Piston vessels

Description

Piston vessels to enable both storage and transfer of fluids such as hydrocarbons, crude oils, water, brine are essential components in research and technical support work associated upstream oil. Strata has a wealth of experience of this type of system over many years. A precision piston which is free to float within an equally precise bore of a pressure vessel can provide segration between a pumping medium (a clean and non-aggressive fluid) and the fluid to be transferred.

Features

  • Two chambers separated by a sealed precision piston using suitable sealing materials depending upon application

  • End caps sealed using process compatible materials

  • Flexible valving arrangements (if required) to suit the specific application

  • Materials of construction to suit the specific application.

Benefits

  • Proven technology with an established track record - reliability is built in

  • Ease of assembly and disassembly - low operating and maintenance costs

  • Reassurance on compliance with pressure system regulations.

Technical information

  • Maximum working pressure 690 bar g

  • Maximum working temperature 150 °C

  • Materials of construction to suit application (normally 316SS)

  • Volumes (normally) up to 2 litres.
